AI and privacy legal challenges in education
As AI is rapidly advancing and by analysing publicly available data able to transgress the boundary of people’s private life by discovering insights of sensitive nature. The rapid technological advancement is creating new risks connected the extraction of information relating to the individuals, and this is one of the reasons why legislation regulating AI is already being developed on the European Union level. AI is taking part in the ‘fourth industrial revolution’ helping to offer services and data in place of goods.
Application of AI systems in education can bring significant advantages, however it creates a lot of privacy challenges.
This session will be focused on evaluating the opportunities and risks connected with the use of AI in education.
